Summer Vacation

Yesterday was my last day of Deutschkurs A2, Part 1. I said my goodbyes to those who wouldn’t be joining us in Deutschkurs A2, Part 2 after the six week summer break. It sort of reminded me of high school mainly because our teacher had assigned us some homework over the break. I thought it was pretty amusing considering I had to do the same thing when I was a teenager except I read 3 books and wrote a book reports. One of the students I wasn’t going to see again was a sweet Iranian girl. I guess I felt compelled to give her a green origami crane (symbolism for peace and prosperity) despite not knowing her stance on the recent events in Iran. She giggled and smiled when I gave it to her. I think that was a good sign. Hehe.

And, so I now start my summer vacation. Soeren will soon complete his exams for his university and there will be some grilling, bowling, and nerd festivities.
