German Holiday & Vacation Time

Today is another holiday. It is certainly something to be envied if you’re…say…an average American worker. In the three months that I’ve spent here, there must have been already 15 official holidays…paid holidays for the working class German. I wonder what the rest of the year will be like. In addition to these holidays, all Germans receive a minimum of 6 weeks paid vacation time upon being hired to work. Unbelievable and yet, they remain as productive as Japan and the U.S.
